Objectives/GoalsNOTES
What are the players trying to do?
Some common objectives include: soc”car” – a 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 of people driving trying to get the ball in the goal. whoever has the most by the end wins. basket ball– you wanna bump the ball in the air and get it in the hoop to win. Training – practice till you are comfortable at the game. Rumble – this game you have power ups to assist you in scoring goals and playing defense and offense. Hockey – a game where you try to score but its a puck instead of a ball. Competitive play – when you go against people you leave and you move up. Tournament – when you play competitively against people and if you lose you are out of the bracket. their will be no re trys
Rules/Mechanics
The whole point is trying to score either vanilla, trickshots or simply just to win.
ControlsNOTES
What controls are used?

the controls that are used are a key board and mouse or a controller.
Was there a clear introductory tutorial?

the controls that are used are a key board and mouse or a controller
Were they easy to understand or did you find yourself spamming the controller?

it was really easy they showed the right buttons to click in the tutorial.
Resources & Resource ManagementNOTES
What kinds of resources do players control?boost speed flips drive turn
How are they maintained during play?by clicking the buttons
What is their role?to make the game run smooth and be fun
A resource is everything under the control of a single player. Could be the money in Monopoly or health in WoW. Other examples are:Territory in RISK The number of questions remaining in 20 Questions Objects picked up during videogames (guns, health packs, etc.)Time (game time, real-time, or both)Known information (like suspects in Clue)you can controll your credits rank garage and even the trainings
Game StateNOTES
How much information in the game state is visible to the player?they have a website you can go to if you dont know what to do
A snapshot of the game at a single point is the game state. The resources you have, the un-owned properties in Monopoly, your opponent’s Archery skill all count towards the game state. Some example information structures are:Total Information – Nothing is hidden, like Chess.Info per player – Your hand of cards is only visible to you.One player has privileged info – Like a Dungeon Master. The game hides info from all players – Like Clue, where no one knows the victory condition.Fog of War – In video games, where certain sections of the map are concealed if you do not have a unit in sight range of that area. You also cannot see other players’ screens, so each player is unaware of the other’s information.
SequencingNOTES
In what order do players take their actions?their is really no order the game lets you play how you want
How does play flow from one action to another?if you want somthing it brings you into it if you dont have something it brings you all the way back and the transitions run really smooth
Some structures include:Turn-based – Standard board game technique.Turn-based with simultaneous play – where everyone takes their turn at the same time (like writing something down or putting a card down in War).Real-time – Actions happen as fast as players can make them. Action-based video games.Turn-based and time limits – You have this long to take your turn.there is no turn base everyone can play except when you make a goal you have to wait for everyone to skip the clip to play again
Player Interaction
Some examples:Direct Conflict – I attack you.Negotiation – If you support me here, I’ll help you there.Trading – I’ll give you this for that.Information Sharing – If you go there, I’m warning you, a trap will go off.
Theme & NarrativeNOTES
Does it have an actual story structure?no
Is it based on a historical event (or similar)?no
Does the theme or narrative help you know how to play?yes with some driving basics and the way cars turn
Does it have emotional impacts?no
Also, look for en media res (does it start in the middle of the game)?you can start in the middle of the match if somone left the game you will replace them but other then thta no you cant
The Elements in MotionNOTES
How do the different elements interact?boost are orbs if you go into them you get boost crash into someone going sonic you demo them
What is the gameplay like?very fun and competitive
Is it effective?yes makes it more fun to me
Are there any points where the design choices break down?yes some cars have a hit box that doesn’t make sense
Design CritiqueNOTES
Why did the designer make these particular choices?they wanted to give you a car future sport game and make everything different
Why this set of resources?because it was un heard off and no one thought about car soccer so when it came out everyone loved it
What if they made different decisions?i still would play i dont care about the design i liked the concept
Does the design break down at any point?some things are just ridiculous like some of the cars
Graphics & SoundNOTES
Does the game art pair well with the mechanics?yes everything syncs together nice
Did you find any bugs or glitches?yes one but it got patched fast
What about sound?each car has a different sound same with boost driving on different floors, goals and honking, or even jumping
Can you spot any technical shortcuts?no they were super professional
Various Stages of the GameNOTES
To wrap up, some things to keep in mind (as if there aren’t enough already) as you play:
What challenges do you face, and how do you overcome them?the rank is a big thing because some people are good and some are bad so my score goes up and down quite a bit
Is the game fair?i would say so
Is it replayable? Are there multiple paths to victory or optional rules that can change the experience?no it doesn’t have a story line
What is the intended audience?e for everyone
What is the core, the one thing you do over and over, and is it fun?try to win the sport and yes because you compete with other people
